Tim Allen Showcases Mackinac Island

— Exploring Pure Michigan —

If there’s one guy that personifies the state of Michigan, it’s actor and comedian Tim Allen.

Growing up in the Detroit area, starting his family here and starring in the television sitcom Home Improvement for years, Tim’s a hometown kind of guy and never has forgotten where he comes from. Tim, who attended Seaholm High School in Birmingham, and Central Michigan University and Western Michigan University, is “Great Lakes State” through and through.

And that’s why he has been the narrator of the captivating Pure Michigan ad campaign for several successful years running (see this Forbes Magazine story on their partnership). Whether he’s the voice of Buzz Lightyear, in Toy Story, or the voice of our purely beautiful state, Tim always catches our ear.

Original Murdick’s Fudge was especially honored to be included in a Pure Michigan advertisement that zoomed in on idyllic Mackinac Island. Tim leads us from the porch of the Grand Hotel to the fairways of the island’s golf-course gems and right down Main Street, where our Original Murdick’s Fudge iconic landmark location has drawn fudge lovers for 133 years.
